About us
Lutterworth u3a is one of over 1000 UK wide charities affiliated to the Third Age Trust that provide the opportunity for those no longer in full time employment to come together to Learn, Laugh and Live for fun. It is all voluntary, friendly, low cost and open to all.
u3a members draw upon their knowledge and experience to teach and learn from each other for pleasure so learning is its own reward.
What does being a member of Lutterworth u3a offer?
* Being part of an organisation with over 250 members
* Access to different local groups
* Monthly meetings open to all members
* Regular local newsletters and updates
We meet on the second Tuesday of the month at the Wycliffe Rooms (10 times a year)in George Street, Lutterworth but in July we have a days out to a place of interest and in August we have our annual picnic.
Between 9.45am and 10.15am refreshments are available and everyone has a chance to meet group organisers and see what group events have been arranged. At around 10.15am and after relevant notices are given the speaker, who entertains us for about 45 mins will be introduced. Details of our monthly speakers can be found below.

February 2025: Alan Coltman "Switzerland by Train"

April 2025: Martin Lloyd with "Passports, Assassins, Traitors and Spies"
Talk on how 3 passports have played their role in the course of history; an attempted assassination; the capture of a spy and the passport itself turned into a killer. Martin worked for HM Immigration Service for 24 years and now writes books, appears on TV, talks on radio and to groups such as U3As and the Arts Society.
