When you discover a group that you are interested in, you can contact the groups organiser who will put you in touch with the relavant group leader and they will tell you more of what goes on and if it appeals, ask about joining. Some groups can take new members straight away, whilst others may operate a waiting list where accommodation or subject matter limits attendance. Many activities take place in members homes. Group leaders are volunteer facilitators not tutors and groups tend to operate in an informal and collaborative way, indeed you may identify a gap and set up your own new interest group.
